Matariki

Matariki is a Maori tradition. When Matariki comes seven stars will appear in the sky at night. People will also do a performance based on Matariki. Most of the people gather around just to see the seven stars at night.

You can hear sound on EARTH because there is air but if you go into space you cannot hear any sound because there is no air.

Sound is a type of energy created by vibrations. Also sounds can travel through water, air, and in solids. When sound bounces off any object we can hear an echo.

A sound travels like waves. These waves create vibrations. We can hear these vibrations.

Sound travels faster through solids than in water. Sound travels faster in water than in air.
